Health & wellness coaches support clients in activating internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle behavior changes. Health coaches use a client-centered approach wherein clients decide their goals, engage in self-discovery or active learning processes, and self-monitor behaviors to increase accountability, all within the context of an interpersonal relationship with a health coach.
Whatever goal/steps the client sets, the health coach ensures that they are supported until the desired outcome is achieved. Lifestyle Medicine is a speciality that uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions as a primary modality to manage/treat chronic health conditions such as diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases. Utilizing evidence-based, holistic approaches to treat, manage and cure conditions. Health Coaches support clients in addressing various conditions and provide support and coaching utilizing optimization in the 6 pillars of health: Nutrition, Physical Activity, Stress Management, Restorative Sleep, Social Connection, and avoidance of Risky.

Shawn's coaching is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, coaching/positive psychology and mindfulness. Shawn provides evidence-based tools and coaching methodologies to support clients to a path of well-being and improved quality of life.
Shawn is well-versed in both clinical coaching, spiritual coaching and offers integrative health approaches that include complementary therapies such as: Reiki, Chinese Medicine/QIQong, Eco-therapy, Meditation, Energy Psychology, Herbs, Breathwork, Mindful movement, red light therapy and aromatherapy.
